CLIENT BRIEF

Ask-re carried out a ‘search and find’ for discreet office space in London’s West End on behalf of Celtel International B.V which is better known as The Mo Ibrahim Foundation, who are a charitable trust and a very interesting client of Ask-re. As part of their charitable activities, The Mo Ibrahim Foundation work with Kofi Annan required an office for his use when he visits London. The project involved space planning, architectural, interior and M&E services design, together with furniture procurement and project management of the fitting out and relocation activities.

OUR PROFESSIONAL APPROACH

Initial acquisition of the space, inclusive of rent and lease negotiations, acquisition surveys and the brokerage of the deal. Initial spaces planning of the office accommodation to ensure all clients’ operational requirements were met using our Smartspace design team. Architectural and Interior design of the space to suit the agreed space plan. M&E Services design to suit the refurbishment works, inclusive of alteration to the Landlord’s supplied base build services

Agreements in association with the Landlord’s Licence to alter the premises including statutory consents for building alterations and health and safety during site works and for occupation upon completion. Liaison with Client appointed IT specialists and specification of data cabling installations. Main Contractor and Specialist Sub- Contractor procurement under JCT Contracts. Assistance and advice on furniture procurement. Including direct with Hermann Miller and our client Interoffice UK. Project management of the fitting out works, inclusive of quality and cost control, together with completion of documentations. Handover processes with Mo Ibrahim and Landlord Great Portland Estates.

THE VERDICT

Kofi Annan was otherwise engaged at the United Nations, and not available for comment.
