We’ve focused on rationalisation of services used, as well as exploring economies of scale through utilising shared contractors. Centralisation is also key; we’ve focused on contract management and procurement for everything from cleaning, to water coolers, to photocopiers to ensure deals are current and competitive, and even looked at how much time some of our clients spend managing day-to-day property issues. It seriously mounts up to many hours not spent focusing on their core business needs and their clients!
At Globe, we believe that most occupiers can cut costs by drilling down on services and supplier costs, and reviewing SLAs, particularly where contracts have been allowed to simply run-on, or have been appointed non-competitively.
