Planning & Development

Planning and development is central to our work for many clients and dovetails with our other specialist services in its aim of releasing value inherent within commercial property portfolios, both for investors and occupiers.

The sole aim of our planning team is to deliver commercial value, cost effectively and with minimal risk to the status quo. We are able to identify the potential opportunities, achieve the necessary legal consents and advise on development ongoing from concept through to delivery. We also deal with statutory consents for occupier changes to leases and corporate workspace.

With cleared greenfield or brownfield sites awaiting or with consent for development, our function is to enhance perceived value to ensure that our clients get the best financial outcome, perhaps through intensification or changes of use for a better mix or working with future occupiers to ensure that the provider creates the kind of space the market wants to have offered to it.

We also deal with many micro issues of changing existing buildings for statutory compliance reasons, which crop up on every change however minor.

All change requires a cost-benefit analysis of varying intensity and knowing quickly and accurately all of the many complexities of getting things approved. This is absolutely fundamental on how we base and shape our consultancy advice to clients. Each situation is unique and every client requires bespoke advice and specialist skills applied to achieve agreed objectives.

Our case studies will give you a flavour of what we can do, whether the client is developing, refurbishing, buying, selling, leasing, breaking up buildings, changing size, appearance or use. Whatever is contemplated we will have the scientific, professional and creative inputs required to help bring about the best outcome for the client.
