Final phase of project to include hotel, residential property and retail in the City of London
By Ashley Brunskill
European property investment company Heron International has submitted its plans for the £500 million Heron Plaza in the City of London.
Heron Plaza includes plans for retail and residential opportunities as well as incorporating a new Four Seasons hotel. The complex, which is just 150 metres away from Liverpool Street station, includes a gym, swimming pool and health spa.
Heron Plaza is the final phase of works which began with the building of the adjacent 46-storey Heron Tower on Bishopsgate.
Heron chief executive Gerald Ronson heralded the latest phase of the projects as a "model for sustainable urban development" in London and believes the Plaza can provide a vital service to the City.
"It will provide much-needed, unparalleled hotel and residential facilities which reflect London's status as the financial capital of the world and support the City's core mission as a centre for business and excellence," he added.
Last month, Heron unveiled plans for a new restaurant and sky bar at the Heron Tower with views across London.
