Liverpool office development to provide major business space leasing opportunity
By Ashley Brunskill
A future business space leasing opportunity has opened up in Liverpool city centre after local development officials revealed they are seeking a partner.
The Liverpool Daily Post is reporting that a ten-acre site on Pall Mall in Liverpool business district, which is currently in use as a car park, could be turned into a Grade A office building.
The Pall Mall Exchange proposal will be launched at Marche International des Professionals d'Immobilier (MIPIM) in Cannes. It is believed the site could provide up to 41,000 sq ft of office space.
The North West Development Authority and Liverpool Vision, which is in charge of the city's economic development, will begin its search for a development partner in the coming weeks.
Jim Gill, chief executive of Liverpool Vision, said that the site represented a great opportunity for planning and development of a high-class office campus to "leading-edge environmental standards" and is boosted by its superb location.
Liverpool has already been bolstered by development around its waterfront, as well as the business district and the Liverpool One retail development.
