NFU Mutual double its business space leasing in Bristol's commercial quarter

By Ashley Brunskill

A recently opened office development in Bristol has increased its business space leasing revenues as a leading financial company doubles its occupancy.

NFU Mutual has taken the third floor of UK & European Development's Templeback complex in the city's commercial quarter which is just minutes from Bristol Temple Meads railway station.

The pensions, insurance and investment specialist has added another 22,500 sq ft to its floor space in the 123,000 sq ft building, according to Property Week.

UK & European's managing director Barney Kelham said that NFU's expanded business space leasing owed much to strong performance in recent years.

While many other financial service organisations in the city have struggled in the economic downturn, NFU had "performed exceptionally" with annual sales reaching over £1 billion.

"Their decision to expand in Bristol rather than look elsewhere is a ringing endorsement, not just of Templeback's superior quality, but of the city itself," he added.
