Care service widened by new office

The Care Commission has announced a move to new accessible offices.
Access to care services in Scotland will improve following the commercial relocation of the Care Commission to a new business space leasing in Heathall, it has been claimed.
The Dumfries Standard reported that the new offices at Solway House, which will be shared with Scottish Enterprise, will provide better wheelchair access for visitors, in addition to improved care facilities for inspectors.
Henry Mathias, the commission's regional manager for south west Scotland, said that while the group's previous business space leasing in Galloway had been a "wonderful base", the new facilities will provide an improved working environment and boast better disabled access.
"By moving to this new office at Solway House, which is a much newer building, we have ensured that our Dumfries operation is now compliant with the regulations set out by the Disability Discrimination Act," he told the paper.
In other commercial relocation news, the Guardian News and Media Group last month set out its new green working agenda, which involves moving out of their headquarters in Farringdon and into new offices in King's Cross.
