Green offices now open

The first phase of a new green office development has now opened.

A new corporate real estate project with a focus on eco-friendliness is currently being developed.

The first phase of the project has been completed, meaning that new corporate real estate near Peterborough is now able to be occupied.

Eco-friendly features include a high level of insulation, automatic lighting and a heat recovery system, New Builder reports.

Construction manager of the building firm behind the development, FE Peacock, said the business has set itself the target of becoming the region's greenest builder and that it is delighted to be involved with this project.

If there is success at the new site, more developments of corporate real estate may be made in the vicinity, the news source notes.

The office development follows the construction of a new road, which has helped to improve transport routes in and around the area.

Indeed, earlier this month, a survey conducted by Autodesk in association with the Royal Institute of British Architects revealed that architects believe their clients want greener buildings.
