A developer has unveiled plans for a new green development in Hyndburn
Plans for new sustainable corporate real estate in Hyndburn have been unveiled, the Blackburn Citizen reports.
According to the paper, the outline plans for the new green business park - which is budgeted at costing £6 million to develop - have been unveiled by Prospect.
To be sited on the 11-acre Coach Road Meadow plot, the new business space leasing project will boast a biomass heating plant, wind turbines and rain collection facilities.
Commenting on the project, Phil Barwood, the chairman of Prospects, said that the site would be able to generate its own electricity.
"Its a very open kind of design, partly to improve the appearance, partly for planning reasons and also to improve the drainage on site," he said.
Elsewhere, Andrew Johnson, leader of Harlow council, told the Hertfordshire Mercury earlier this month that during this difficult period, new business space leasing projects must be undertaken with affordability in mind.
